






Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than held talks with members of the Natural Disaster Management Committee, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and many other officials on Saturday evening.
In this meeting at the Rakhine State Government office, the Chief Minister reported on the MSME sector development and damage due to the cyclonic storm MOCHA and plans to restore the sector.
In his response, the Union Minister stressed necessary support and assistance, MSME sector in regions and states, human resources issues, MSME registration and the plan for ‘One Region One Product’ policy.
After the meeting, the Union Minister donated 7 kinds of medicines worth 10 million Kyats manufactured by the Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industrial Enterprise for the storm-affected people in the state.
On the same day, the Union Minister visited the Rakhine State Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department, held talks with officials and staff and provided cash assistance of 7.5 million Kyats.
On Sunday, the Union Minister visited Kyay Pin Gyi Ward, Set Yoe Kya Ward, Set Hmuu Ward, Kyar MaThauk Village and Aung Min Galar (North) Ward, met with concerned officials and staff and entrepreneurs and gave necessary instructions for rehabilitation works.
