






Senior military officers have been assigned in Rakhine State under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law to oversee the progress of rehabilitation works in cyclone affected areas.
On the 30th of June, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and departmental officials who are currently in Kyaukphyu Township attended the demonstration ceremony of monsoon paddy planting in HtaungMileKwin area of AsoeYa Ward.
Then, they arrived at Sana Linkarya Monastery in Ayarshi Ward and viewed providing health care services to the locals. And, Lt-Gen and officials provided foodstuff and traditional medicines donated from Traditional Medicine entrepreneurs to the patients.
At the YamaWadi Hall in AsoeYa Ward, Lt-Gen Lu Aye attended a ceremony to provide relief aid, cash and seeds to the cyclone-affected people. And, he met with the ward/township level officials and gave necessary instructions.
Similarly in Paletwa Township of Chin State, Lt-Gen Nay Lin Aung together with the departmental officials met with the District/Township level departmental officials and heads of wards/villages at the Township General Administration Department Office.
During the meeting, Lt-Gen clarified the rehabilitation works and future work processes and fulfilled the needs on their reports. Likewise, Brigadier General Aung Thu Oo and officials who are in Kyauktaw Township donated construction materials and foodstuffs for 24 cyclone affected monasteries at the Township Sasana Beikman.
In Ponnagyun Township, Brigadier General Win Maung and concerned officials viewed around the providing of health care services to the cyclone affected people at the Myoma Pariyatti Monastery and fulfilled the needs.
And, Brigadier General Kyaw Kyaw Soe together with the officials met with the departmental officials and fulfilled the needs. They also donated medicines for the cyclone affected people.
