Rehabilitation in Sagaing&Rakhine :Senior military officials manage rehabilitation works

Senior military officers have been assigned in Rakhine State under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law to oversee the progress of rehabilitation works in cyclone-affected areas.

On the 25th of July, Lt-Gen Min Naing from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and departmental officials who are currently in Sagaing Region visited the Military Hospital in Kalay Township. During the visit, he gave words of encouragement, provided nutritious food items and cashes to the military personnel and their family members, members of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization and Police Force and local residents who are receiving medical treatment at the hospital. Similarly, Lt-Gen Lu Aye and departmental officials who are currently in Kyaukphyu Township in Rakhine State visited Nagar Pariyatti Monastery and offered offertory items.

He also inspected the awareness activities for prevention of dengue fever observed by departmental staff in Ayarshi ward, Saetitaung ward and Kularpartaung ward. In Buthidaung Township, Lt-Gen Aye Win and departmental officials inspected the clearance tasks for the Township Park, tree cutting activities for electric safety inMiiyahtersate ward and excavation of the drain between ward No.1 and No.2.

Then, he visited Sasana Alinyaung Monastery, paid homage to the Sayadaw and offered necessary offertories for Waso robe offering for members of the Sangha from 78 monasteries. In Rathedaung Township, Maj-Gen Aung Myo Tun together with departmental officials attended a work coordination meeting with departmental officials and staff at the Township General Administration Department,heard reports and gave necessary instructions.
