





Senior military officers have been assigned in Rakhine State under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law to oversee the progress of rehabilitation in the storm-affected areas.
On 29th June, Lt-General Aye Win from the office of the commander in chief (army) currently in Buthidaung Township in Rakhine state along with departmental officials inspected clearness activities in the town creek and gave necessary assistance.
And, he inspected the arrival of supplies sent from Sittwe for the storm affected people which were received by the department of consumer affairs and gave necessary instructions. Also, he inspected the arrival of super Naga and JW11 rice seeds and attended the offering ceremony held by department of agriculture, and distributed about 135 bags of rice seeds to local farmers from 3 village-tracts.
Also, Major-General Aung Myo Tun along with departmental officials visited Kyauktan, Loungchauk and Saetipyin areas in Buthidaung Township and donated rice to MOCHA affected people which was accepted by the village administrators.
Brig-General Aung Kyaw Moe who is currently in Sittwe along with departmental officials assisted house roofs to the MOCHA affected people in Sanyoekya ward. Brig-General Zaw Min Aye who is currently in Yanbye Township visited the department of traditional medicine to observe the health care services provided to the local people and donated traditional medicines and food items.
Brig-General Tin Swe who is currently in Maungtaw Township inspected the rice seeds that had arrived in Mawyawati village and donated a total of 100 bags of JW11 rice and sesame seeds to 35 local farmers from Kainggyi, Mawyawati and Oudaung villages.
