Rehabilitation in Rakhine State: Relief measures carried out in storm-hit areas

The State Administration Council has assigned senior military officers to carry out restoration work in the storm-hit areas of Rakhine State.

On 28th July, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) together with the officials attended the final match and awarding ceremony the Men’s Monsoon Football Tournament of Government Technological College (Kyaukphyu) at the Football ground in Asoeya Ward of Kyaukphyu Township.

On 29th July, he inspected the cleaning of garbage in the Zadi Ward by the Tatmadawmen, members of the Police Force and the departmental staff. And, he paid homage and donated rice to the Zadiya Taung Monastery Sayadaws.

Afterwards, he participated in the second time monsoon tree planting ceremony 2023 of the Township Forest Department in the Kyaukphyu Education Degree College.

In Buthitaung Township, Lt-Gen Aye Win from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief together with responsible officials viewed the collective cleaning service at monasteries and the local Medical Team giving the medical treatment to the local residents.

In Rathaedaung Township, General Aung Myo Tun attended the monsoon tree planting ceremony at the No. (1) Basic Education High School on 29th July.

Besides, he encouraged to the Healthcare staff carrying out dengue fever prevention activity at schools, hospital and wards. Likewise, Major-General Aung Kyaw Moe who arrived in Sittwe Township inspected the systematic cultivation of the paddy provided by the government to farmers.
