Rehabilitation in Rakhine State: Deputy PM inspects rehabilitation works in Sittwe

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San on Tuesday inspected clean-up activities in Ywar Gyi Taung  Ward of Sittwe Township, gave encouragement to participants and called on concerned officials to persuade locals to participate in the cleanliness activities in the township.

And, the Union Minister paid homage to the Atula Marazein Pyi Lone ChanTha Pagoda, donated cash, visited the ordination hall damaged by the cyclone Mocha and coordinated with concerned officials for repairing. He also inspected additional arrivals of relief and recovery materials to ports for rehabilitation tasks in Rakhine State after the storm.

On the same day, the Union Minister attended a meeting on rehabilitation tasks, heard report on completed tasks and plans and called on attendees to list the requirements by region and calculate the approximate accuracy and to transport the relief aid to the people who really need.
