Rehabilitation Measures: Transportation facilities, clearing debris and cash donation

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo inspected the progress of temporary Bailey Bridge on MonteKhwin -Nyaung Pin Tha Road near Sin Thay Village in Pyimana Township on September 20th.

The Bridge No.2/20 was damaged by the erosion during the recent floods. The Council Chairman also inspected the construction of temporary Bailey Bridge on Paung Laung Creek near Zee Phyu Pin Village, and instructed for speedy implementation of the tasks for convenient transportation of the public, ensuring the worksite safety.

On the 21st, the Council Chairman visited the Post Primary School (Ai Sauk) in Zeyathiri Township and oversaw the cleaning activities in the school compound. They also viewed the clearing of debris along Yangon-Mandalay Union Highway and the Basic Education Primary School (Sein Sar Pin). They also met with the flood hit community, taking shelter at the Sein Sar Pin Village Monastery and provided relief supplies for damaged households.

In the afternoon, a cash donation ceremony was held at the Council Office. During the event, well-wishers donated over 90 million kyat and 100 million kyat worth foodstuff and consumer goods for the flood hit people.
