Rehabilitation Measures: Senior military officers inspect rehabilitation works

The State Administration Council assigned senior military officers to implement rehabilitation works in cyclone affected areas.

On the 10th of June in Kyaukphyu Township of Rakhine State, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and departmental officials inspected cleaning process carried out both inside and outside of the No.3 Basic Education High School Compound and clearing land along the township entrance road to plant coconut trees.

They also inspected sale of chicken, chicken and duck eggs and vegetables in the disaster hit areas at reasonable prices.

Also, in Yathaedaung Township, Major-Gen Aung Myo Tun from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) provided foodstuff, construction materials and tarpaulin sheets at the township administration department for the rehabilitation tasks.

He also visited the monasteries in township and donated tarpaulin sheets, foodstuff and construction materials to make rehabilitation tasks at cyclone-affected monasteries.
