Rehabilitation Measures: Relief supplies shipped to Sittwe

Under the directive of the National Disaster Management Committee, relief items are being sent to Rakhine State with the arrangement of Transport and Communication Working Committee.

The MV Royal Venus, with over 2,455 tonnes of relief items and supplies including edible oil, fuel and foods, on board, is now docking at Sittwe Jetty. On 8th February, Chief Minister U Htein Lin and officials oversaw the arrangement for unloading of relief items by using manpower and machines, providing necessary assistance.
