Rehabilitation Efforts: Temporary building and renovation works

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin on April 24 along with the Deputy Ministers and officials inspected the construction of a 100x32 feet building at Office No. 35.

The building is construced with the contribution of Myanmar Theatrical Association (Central) and well-wishers to provide accommodation for earthquake affected staff. On the reports by the officials, the Union Minister instructed for systematic supervision of the officials to construct the building to withstand Richter scale 8 earthquake, meeting set standards.

During the meeting with the staff and families from the Department of Fine Arts, the Union Minister stated that under the guidance of the Head of State, the ministry is making efforts for the convenient living of the staff by fulfilling the necessities of the quake affected staff.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the chosen site to construct temporary BASHA tents in the office compound. The Union Minister and party later proceeded to the Uppatasanti Pagoda and inspected the damaged religious buildings due to March 28 severe earthquake, heard reports by the officials and instructed for renovation processes.
