Since September 8th, 32 displaced families from KyinDwearea in Chin State have arrived in Magway Region. They are currently housed at Beikthano dormitory, Magway University for temporary accommodation.

The Regional Government is actively providing essential supplies like rice, edible oil, and kitchen utensils and on the other hand, efforts are underway to support the education of displaced students amidst these challenging circumstances.

District Administration Officer, Magway District, MaungHtoo, said " We’ve put a lot of effort into providing temporary accommodation for the 32 displaced households at Beikthano dormitory. In addition to providing healthcare services, we’re also ensuring that they receive three meals a day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—to support their needs during this time."

The displaced families expressed thanks to the Regional Government for providing convenient arrangements for their settlement.

Displaced Resident, KyinDwe, Chin State, OhnMaung, said " I’d like to thank the Magway Region Government and all the personnel involved for their warm welcome to our displaced individuals.  They’re also working on setting up a kitchen for us to prepare our own meals, which we really appreciate.  Overall, we’re very pleased with the support we’ve received."

Displaced Resident, KyinDwe, Chin State, Mya Shwe, said " Basic necessities like mats, mosquito nets and kitchen utensils for each household have been systematically arranged by the regional government. We’re grateful to all the government personnel for addressing our needs so thoroughly and efficiently."

The Magway Region Government is also systematically planning to allocate designated areas for building housing for the displaced families. Additionally, efforts are underway to ensure their peaceful living conditions and to create job opportunities, further enhancing their stability.
