Regional Tourism Development: Taninthayi Region Tourism Work Committee Meeting

Taninthayi Region Government will cooperate in solving the difficulties that are being faced in tourism industry and support the necessary things, the Region Chief Minister U MyatKo said at the Work Coordination Meeting (3/2022) of Taninthayi Region Tourism Work Committee held in Dawei on Thursday.
The Region Chief Minister said that the tourism industry also mainly plays in the economic development of the region, convenience in food and living and creating job opportunities. Since the transportation sector in the region has improved, tourism industries can develop more during the open season.
The Chief Minister called on the attendees at the meeting to give suggestions on booming tourism industry in the region.
Later, Vice Chairman of Taninthayi Region Tourism Working Committee the Region Economic Affairs Minister U MaungGyi supplemented on the report and the secretary of the Committee discussed progress of works on the previous meeting’s decisions and applying for business license in the respective service sectors to be decided by the committee. Members of the Committee gave a general round of discussion for long-term sustainable development of hotels and tourism industry on which the Region Chief Minister coordinated essentials.
