Regional Tourism Committee: Meeting of Taninthayi Region tourism Committee held

The Tanintharyi Region Tourism Committee held a coordination meeting (1/2025) at the meeting hall of the Region government office in Dawei on January 22.

During the meeting, the Chairman of Region Tourism Committee, Chief Minister U MyatKo, stated that this was the 17th meeting held by the committee to develop the tourism industry systematically, with a focus on enhancing the hotel and tourism industry in various locations within the region.

He emphasized the need for cooperation among those involved in the tourism industry, hotel businesses, and restaurants within the region, aiming to improve the tourism services for both domestic and international visitors.Following that, the committee’s Vice-Chairman, U Maung Gyi, Region Minister for Economic Affairs, provided further remarks.

The committee secretary then presented updates on the progress of the decisions made in previous meetings and outlined the necessary steps regarding business licenses.

Committee members discussed and proposed solutions for the long-term development of the hotel and tourism sectors in the region, ensuring systematic and sustainable growth. The Chief Minister coordinated the discussions and guided the necessary actions based on the proposals shared.
