Regional Progress :Dy Minister meets cooperative societies in Pwint Phyu

Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe together with officials viewed 54-day Hsar Phoe Thar-1 paddy plantation of Phuu Pwint Quality Strain Cultivation and General Cooperative Limited in Pwint Phyu township in Magway region on Wednesday.

The Deputy Minister and party then inspected cultivation of GW-11 paddy strain and presented foodstuff for paddy transplanters. At the Ywa Thit Kalay village in Kala Haung villge-tract of Pwint Phyu township, they then looked into measures for irrigated water undertaken by the Ministry.

The Deputy Minister met with members of Phuu Pwint Quality Strain and Seed Production Cooperative Limited and membership farmers in Pwint Phyu township and called for cultivating quality strain and arrangements for providing hybrid paddy strain for the sown acreages of Cooperative Societies. 

Later, the Head of the Region Cooperatives Department reported on measures for monsoon paddy cultivation with State Economic Promotion Fund and the Chairman of Phuu Pwint Quality Strain and Seed Production Cooperative Limited reported on nurturing paddy strains and cultivation.

The Deputy Minister then provided quality strains and fertilizers to membership farmers. The deputy minister and party then visited smart village in Thayat village-tract in the township and met with village committee member and villagers and stressed on formation of cooperative societies and measures for ensuring peace and stability of the village.

They then met trainees of basic sewing course opened by the Small Scale Industries  Department and viewed the clothes sewed by the trainees.
