Regional Meeting in Magway: Chief Minister meets the regional level departments

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and the regional level departments held a work coordination meeting (9/2022) at the city hall in Magway on Monday.

At the meeting, the Region Chief Minister said that in Magway Region, COVID-19 vaccines have been vaccinated almost 100% in the respective aged groups.  A total of 39,197 COVID cases have been found in the region from 27th May 2021 to 26th September 2022.

There were 190 cases of infection in September, and currently, the infection rate in the region has increased and people need to follow COVID-19 rules and regulations, administer booster doses and conduct COVID-19 awareness campaigns.

He also discussed that for the mitigation of climate change and a healthy ecosystem of natural environment, the Department of Forestry and the Dry Zone Greening Department have already planted 500,000 Neem saplings this year and about 500,000  saplings will be planted and distributed in the monsoon season of 2023.

He also stressed the needs on camping the contestants from Magway Region to participate in the 23rdMyanma Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition and striving for gaining success in the competition, taking the heeds of security measures, selling basic foodstuff to grass-root people with reasonable prices, collective sanitation tasks and beautifying in the region.

Later, the secretary the Region Government reported the decisions of the previous meeting and attendees at the meeting reported sector-wise implementation. In response to the reports, the Region Chief Minister coordinated essentials and gave necessary instructions.
