Regional Meeting: 8th ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions Summit

Union Auditor-General Dr. Khin Naing Oo led the Myanmar delegation to the 8th ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) Summit, held in Singapore from November 12 to 14.

At the summit, discussions included 2025 annual reports, 2026–2029 strategic plans, revised ASEANSAI regulations and procedures, training frameworks, and proposed budgets. Myanmar’s Auditor-General Office was confirmed as the ASEANSAI auditor, and leadership positions for 2026–2027 were approved.

Dr. Khin Naing Oo expressed satisfaction at the appointment and highlighted Myanmar’s previous experience auditing ASEANSAI financial statements in line with international auditing standards.

The summit was attended by Auditors-General and representatives from ASEAN member states, secretaries, ambassadors, and development partners. The delegation returned to Yangon on the evening of November 15.
