







Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe together with Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister and officials made a field trip to regional development in Ayeyawady region on Monday.
At the Small Scale Industries Department, the Union Minister and party inspected Top Milk Htaiktan qualty milk and dairy product industry in Pae Yon Seik village in Nyaungdon township and officials reported on breeding milk cows and cultivation of nivea grass for feedstuff.
In response to the reports, the Union Minister said that the government is prioritizing on the development of micro, small and medium enterprises and the Small Scale Industries Department is providing technical assistance for achieving the tasks.
The Ministry will provide necessary assistance and fulfilled the needs. From there, the Union Minister and party visited Ayeya Ahman Cooperation Association for Agricultural Production in Kyonkadune village, Pyapon township and met cooperative membership farmers, executive members and locals.
The executive members reported on monsoon paddy cultivation plans, getting irrigated water, inflow of salt water, yields of conventional strains and future plans.
In response to the reports, the Union Minister called for livestock breeding on 389 acres of land owned by the association, cultivation of high yield strains and the necessary strains, inputs and technical assistance will be provided.
He also stressed the needs on transforming to mechanized farming system, getting irrigated water to cultivate mixed crops, arrangements for cultivation of monsoon paddy with the State economic promotion fund, getting inputs on time, cooperation between departments, entrepreneurs and farmers, paying back loans and working together for the achievement of the tasks and coordinated essentials.
Later, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister explained about assistance plans and recommendations for cultivation of monsoon paddy which will be implemented with the State’s economic promotion fund.
After that, the Union Minister presented association development fund and fulfilled the needs of membership farmers and locals and then planted Pyi Lone Chantha fast growing plant and evergreen grass strain.
The Union Minister and party then proceeded to the Department of Rural Development and met staffs of the Department and called on cooperation for achieving MSME enterprises, cultivation of oil crops, following rules and ethics of civil servants, free from corruption and sanitation around the office environs.
The Union Minister and party then inspected reclamation of land for green manure cultivation and called for conducting awareness by the cooperative societies and the agricultural department.
