Regional Development: SAC Member makes inspections in Ayeyawaddy

Member of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung inspected regional development activities in Maubin, Nyaungdon and Pantanaw townships.

First, the SAC member and officials attended the ceremony embracing systematic practices to achieve monsoon target yields held on a five-acre farm. They also inspected cattle breeding and dairy production operations in Kyontama village-tract. Also, they inspected the dams at the No. 16 Water Sentry station in Wartaw village-tract. They also observed a flood response drill and search-and-rescue skills workshop.

Moreover, they observed paddy planting using a Drum Seeder on 16 acres of land in Ngagyigayat village. Additionally, they met farmers from Maubin district and government officials in Maubin, discussed challenges affecting monsoon paddy cultivation in the region and distributed seeds to farmers under the State Economic Promotion Fund program.

The SAC member and officials also visited a fish farm in Nyaungdon Township and gave necessary instructions. In Samalauk village, the regional government donated books and provided cash assistance to the ‘Pyinnya Yaung Chi’ Library.
