Regional Development: SAC Chairman holds a meeting in Mandalay

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held a meeting for regional development in Mandalay on Sunday.

The Prime Minister heard reports on the work undertakings and future plans, presented by the Chief Ministers of Mandalay, Sagaing and Magway Regions and Kachin State. In response to the reports, the Prime Minister emphasized to carry out the development tasks especially in agriculture and livestock sectors for local food sufficiency.

He outlined to boost production by cultivating double cropping, utilizing the irrigated water effectively. He also stressed the need to boost oil crops cultivation for sufficient supply of local consumption, contributing to the development of MSME industries.

The Prime Minister also discussed for education promotion efforts, better health care services, promoting sports standards. Regarding the security measures, he emphasized to conduct the public security system through Check, Recheck and Counter Check system. He reiterated that the government is making efforts for holding free and fair election, based on the voters list emerged from the upcoming population and housing census.

He called for cooperation of all concerned personnel for successful implementation of the efforts for ensuing peace, stability and law enforcement, achieving the goal of establishing the genuine disciplined multi-party democracy system. After the meeting, the Prime Minister observed the Mini Cotton Ginning Machine, which is test manufactured by the Good Brothers Machineries Company Limited.
