Regional Development: New Training School opened in Magway

In commemoration of the 78th anniversary of Union Day, a new Agricultural Education and Regional Development Training School was officially inaugurated at the Thayet District Agriculture Office in Magway Region on Thursday.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and other relevant officials attended the ceremony and inaugurated the event with a ceremonial ribbon cut.  The event also included award presentations to the drum and bugle corps and pom pom dance troupes and plaque’s inauguration with a sprinkling of scented water.

The Chief Minister and party later met with the trainees in the training hall and gave words of encouragement while providing training equipment. In the second part of the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the establishment of training schools in Minbu (Saku) and Myothit Townships in 2024, with two more built in Thayet and Aung Lan Townships under the 2024-2025 regional budget.

He noted that, with this opening, Thayet Township’s first training school is now operational, while Aung Lan Township’s school will follow soon. The Chief Minister emphasized the facility’s role in boosting local socio-economic development and regional food security.

The concerned officials then handed over documents related to the new training center, followed by the presentation of commemorative gifts to the Chief Minister and officials. A local also expressed words of thanks for the new facility.
