Regional Development: MoCRD Union Minister makes a field trip to Kengtung

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe together with officials inspected regional development in Kengtung township, eastern Shan State on Friday.

First, the Union Minister and party looked into measures for irrigated water with solar pumping system around Namt Khin creek in Keng Phaung village that was implemented by 2021-2022 FY fund of Kengtung Township Department of Rural Development.

In response to the reports, the Union Minister stressed that the irrigation with solar pumping system from Namt Khin creek will benefit winter crops, vegetables and monsoon and summer paddy and increasing family income of the people.

In doing so, it will implement collective agriculture production with cooperative syndicate system. The high quality yield, fertilizer and cultivation system that are necessary for irrigation will be carried out in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture.

The Union Minister called for maintaining the completed projects for long term existence and looked into thriving the crops with irrigated water distributed by solar pumping system and provided the needs.

Later, the Union Minister and party visited the office Kengtung Township Department of Rural Development and coordinated essentials.
