Regional Development: Efforts for livestock and agriculture sectors

On 19th December, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo accompanied by concerned officials made inspection in Zeyathiri Township for regional development.

First, the Chairman attended the livestock animals provision ceremony for replacement of animals lost during flood in Kyin Taung Village and made a speech. In his speech, the Chief Minister stressed on systematic livestock breeding industry, quality animal feed, multi-cropping acceleration and meeting targeted yields.

Then, Head of Nay Pyi Taw Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department clarified the provision of livestock for replacement of animals lost during flood and livestock breeding development activities. It was followed by provision of livestock animals.

Subsequently, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman oversaw the thriving winter crop plantations in Sipingyi Village-tract and cordially met with the local farmers. During the meeting, he encouraged the farmers to accelerate multi-cropping and instructed for widely usage of pedigree seeds and systematic utilization of agricultural inputs and provided fertilizers for the farmers.

On arrival at Kyaukchat Village-tract, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman inspected water irrigation from Sin Thay Creek through solar water pumping system and coordinated necessities.
