Regional Development: Acting President meets with locals in Thabaung

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with departmental personnel and townselders in Thabaung Township of Ayeyawady Region on Friday.

The Regional Chief Minister reported on the salient points of the township, and the attendees reported the needs for regional development. The Union Ministers explained the assistance provided for agriculture and livestock development, loan disbursement plan and MSMEs development.

The Acting President discussed the need to cultivate quality paddy species, and oil crops for increased income of farmers and local oil sufficiency, while striving to produce bamboo-based value-added products. He also stressed for extended implementation of livestock breeding for food sufficiency, and urged for turning out qualified human resources needed for the sector through education promotion efforts.

He reiterated that the government is making effort to move forward to democracy through election, and urged all to cast vote for the candidate who could serve for the interest of the region and the nation.
