Regional Cooperation: Union Minister joins Voice of Global South Summit

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo attended the Economic and Trade Ministers Meeting of Voice of Global South Summit, organized by India via virtual system on Friday.

In his speech, the Union Minister said India stands the fourth place among 170 trade partners of Myanmar. He discussed for promoting trade and investment while seeking the promising economic opportunities, to exchange views for tourism development, to cooperate in agriculture and livestock breeding tasks, manufacturing, technology and transportation sectors, development of human resources.

He also pointed out that Myanmar is actively cooperating with the countries in southern region in regional level activities. The Economic and Trade Ministers and Deputies from 25 countries attended the 2-day meeting from 12th to 13th January.
