








Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win inspected the provision of free healthcare services to retired governmental employees on Friday.
During the inspection at the 500-bed general hospital in Bago, the Chief Minister held talks with the employees who have come to receive the free healthcare services and concerned officials to ensure that medicines are sufficient.
There, such basic foodstuffs as rice and cooking oil are sold for the employees every month. Under the leadership of the Bago Region Government, this Hospital provides free healthcare services to the retired governmental employees on the 21st of every month along with medicines for a month.
The Chief Minister also attended the coordination meeting 2/2023 at the regional government office.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed importance of the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures, and that the allocated funds should be thoroughly checked and used in an orderly manner and it is necessary to take action in accordance with the law to ensure that there are no unlicensed vehicles and motorcycles.
He also called for efforts to carry out the cultivation of crops that have domestic/foreign markets. And, attendees made sector-wide explanations. Also, directives of the State Administration Council were read out, and completed implementation of projects for 2022-2023 and plans for 2023-2024 were discussed.
