Recuse measures: Relief items continue to be delivered by aircrafts

The relief items and food stuff donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers and the National Disaster Management Committee are delivered to cyclone-affected people in Rakhine State by Tatmadaw aircrafts, helicopters and vessels.

On 16th May, 100 bags of rice, drinking water bottles, foodstuff, personal goods and medical supplies donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and rescue teams were sent to Sittway Airport via Nay Pyi Taw Airport for the 1st time, 180 bags of rice, canned foods and biscuits produced by Tatmadaw factories, drinking water bottles and other foodstuffs were delivered for the 2nd time.

Similarly, Tuesday morning, 65 boxes of rehydration salt, 7 boxes of various items, 1 large power generator, foodstuff and relief items were dispatched to Sittway airport via Mingaladon airport in Yangon. Officials from the Western Command and departmental officials have accepted the items that are arrived at Sittway Airport by Tatmadaw aircrafts and will continue to deliver them to concerned officials.
