Rector’s Cup sports competition: MGY CM attended and opened the sports competition

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, on July 1st, attended the opening ceremony of the Technological University (Magway) 2025 Rector's Cup Monsoon Sports Competition held at the Magway Region Sports Ground and delivered the opening address.

First, students from the Technological University (Magway) performed a Pomn Pom dance to inaugurate the event. Chief Minister U Tint Lwin then delivered his opening remarks, officially declaring the competition open.

Following this, the Chief Minister presented honorary cash awards to the performing groups from the opening ceremony. He, along with other attendees, then watched and cheered on the opening match of the Technological University (Magway) 2025 Rector's Cup Monsoon Sports Competition, which featured a football game between Mech FC and EC FC.

The Technological University (Magway) has been hosting monsoon sports competitions annually. In the 2025 Rector's Cup Monsoon Sports Competition, a total of over 300 students from four majors will participate. The prizes for the various competition categories will be awarded on July 7, it’s reported.
