






Ngwe Hsaung Beach in Pathein Township of Ayeyawady Region is teeming with visitors during the Myanmar New Year Thingyan holidays. Ngwe Hsaung Beach received an increased number of visitors compared to the previous year.
As of the Thingyan Akyat Day on 15th April, over 15,000 visitors have visited the beach where more than 6,600 visitors came to relax in the previous Thingyan period. So, the number of visitors will be more than double this year.
The visitors started thronging in to the beach since the beginning of the long holidays on 8th April. More visitors have been received during the Thingyan period starting April 13th. It is learnt that all the hotels and guest houses have full of bookings.
For the convenient and safe travelling of the visitors to Ngwe Hsaung Beach, the security check up and patrolling in the town is being provided in cooperation with the Town Administrator and Police Station Head. Moreover, Myoma Road in downtown Ngwe Hsaung is being used as a one-way lane in order to avoid traffic jam since the area is crowded with visitors buying the return home gifts.
Likewise, members of Traffic Police, Police Force, People’s Security Force and the Auxiliary Fire Brigade are being stationed at the major junctions of Ngwe Hsuang for ensuring systematic traffic condition. The football ground was also used as the parking lot for the passenger buses. Visitors to Ngwe Hsaung Beach enjoyed playing water on the beach, riding Banana Boat, taking boat trip to Bird Island and Long Island and visiting to Snake Island, Three Pagodas, Lover’s Island and Moemakha Elephant Camp. The visitors spend their precious holiday periods peach of mind and full of relaxation.
