




A ceremony to recount experiences by officers and staffs who attended foreign trainings, workshops and meetings was held at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on Friday.
At the event, Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine said that although oversea trips were suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the core functions of the department were able to be carried out with more efforts.
In 2022, there will be overseas trips and a total of 80 officers and from the ministry visited South Korea, Japan, Malaysia Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia for 34 times.
From the ability to interact with the international communities, they will gain international experience and knowledge. She said that the ministry is encouraging to sending abroad study and as the life-long learning; the staffs will have to learn not only on-job trainings but also meetings abroad by attending conferences.
Those who attended master's degree and doctorate courses will have to benefit the state and the department. The 1st session of recounting experiences was held on 18th January and the Director-General of the Department of Social Welfare and the staffs from departments under the Ministry who attended meetings, forums and workshops in overseas recounted their experiences.
On Friday session, officials and staffs who attended forums in foreign countries also shared their oversea experiences.
