Recitation of Maha Pahtana: Rakhine State Chief Minister Attended The Ceremony

The ceremony of without pause reciting Maha Pahtana Dhamma Discourses was held in Myat Kyi Cave of Lawkananda Pagoda in Sittwe Township, Rekhine State in the morning on December 28 with the attendance of Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of West Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, region government ministers, advocate general and officials.

First, the members of Sangha performed the religious procedures in the opening of ceremony. Next, the congregation led by the Chief Minister observed five precepts and offered the offertories to the Sangha.

Then, the members of Sangha commenced the reciting of Maha Pahtana Dhamma Discourses in line with the traditional religious procedures.

Afterward, the Chief Minister, Commander and officials paid homage to the Sakkyar-Muni Thon Sett Taw Buddha image and recitation of Maha Pahtana Dhamma Discourses. The recitation of Maha Pahtana Dhamma Discourses will take place for five days, it’s reported.
