Reception and Dinner: Marking the 78th Armed Forces Day

The 78th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day Reception and Dinner ceremony 2023 hosted by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla was held on the lawn of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

At the beginning of the dinner, fireworks were launched from the military parade ground and Bayintnaung Villa to mark the 78th Armed Forces Day. Also present were Vice- Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and Commander-in-Chief (Air) and their wives,  SAC members, the Secretary and the Joint-Secretary of the Council, Union Level personnel and their wives, senior military officers from the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and their wives, family members of the thirty comrades and retired senior military officers, advisors, representatives of ethnic armed groups that have signed the NCA, political party chairmen, families of winners in military gallantry medals, members of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, officials of concerned organizations, artists who starred in the story in honour of Armed Forces Day, winners of military song, poem, short story and novel competitions, invited artistes, officials, students and teachers from the University for Development of National Races, and guests.

The Senior General and wife cordially greeted those attended the dinner. Before and during the dinner, artists from the Myawady Entertainment Troupe under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Welfare and other artists entertained the guests with songs.

After the dinner, the Senior General and party cordially greeted the attendees and then the fireworks were launched. The Senior General and the attendees then enjoyed the entertainments staged by the male and female military artists under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Welfare at Thabin Hall of ZeyathiriBeikman to the accompaniment with Myawady music troupe. After the entertainment, the Senior General and wife presented flower baskets to them.
