Receiving UN representatives: DPM MOFA UM received UN representatives

U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs received Ms. Elena Ajmone Sessera, Resident Representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), at 10 AM on 6th February 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters related to ICRC’s activities including the provision of humanitarian assistance in Myanmar.

Also present at the meeting were the senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Christophe Ami Leon Taramarcaz, Deputy Resident Representative of ICRC.At 11 AM on the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and the Union Minister for Foreign AffairsU Than Swe receives Ms. Noriko Takagi, UNHCR Representative to Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters related to UNHCR’s ongoing activities in Myanmar as well as ways and means for further cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and the UNHCR. Also present at the meeting were senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
