Receiving Russian Delegation: Union Minister for Industry received Russian delegation

Union Minister for Industry, Dr. Charlie Than, met with a delegation led by Ambassador of Russian Federation Mr. Iskander Azizov at the reception hall of Office No. 30, Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on July 15.

During the meeting, they held an open and cordial discussion, exchanging views on several key issues related to the ongoing implementation of the No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) Project included the progress of Russian experts in inspecting, repairing, and installing machinery for the test operation of the air purification workshop, technical support from the National University of Science and Technology (MiSiS) for producing pig iron from iron ore using Romelt technology the signing of the settlement agreement by TPE Company Limited to enable the continuation of project activities, continuous engagement with TPE Company Limited for the effective implementation of the project, strategies for the successful completion of the No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) Project, recognizing its importance to both Russia and Myanmar, and the assistance required to ensure the project's completion within the stipulated timeframe, especially given the guidance from the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister to expedite the project.
