Receiving Regional Director: MOFA Union Minister received IFRC Regional Director

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ (IFRC) Regional Director for Asia Pacific Mr. Alexander James Matheou at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 26th April.

During the meeting, the IFRC’s Regional Director for Asia Pacific briefed the Union Minister on the nature of the work of IFRC and the role of IFRC in supporting and strengthening the activities of the Myanmar Red Cross Society.

The Union Minister discussed matters related to providing technical assistance in the sectors of health, sanitation and awareness raising.
