




The Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, met with officials from the Myanmar Women's Sports Federation at the Meeting Hall of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs in Office No. (31), Nay Pyi Taw, on the afternoon of November 24.
First, officials from the Myanmar Women's Sports Federation presented and discussed various matters. They explained that officials from their federation will travel to Thailand to support and cheer on the athletes at the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian Games, aiming for Myanmar's sports success and to boost the morale of female athletes.
They also reported on the federation's current work programs, the participation of two female athletes representing Myanmar in the 16th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Competition, where they won silver and bronze medals, and requested the dispatch of two instructors from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs to assist with the Fitness Dance (Zumba) event to be jointly organized by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the Myanmar Women's Sports Federation at the Nay Pyi Taw Water Fountain Garden on December 1.
In response to the discussions, the Union Minister stated that as various sectors are already contributing to the development of women's sports in Myanmar and boosting the morale of Myanmar's female athletes, the ministry will provide necessary assistance and support. It is also reported that the Union Minister and the Deputy Minister presented commemorative gifts to the officials from the Myanmar Women's Sports Federation.
