Receiving Nepalese Ambassador: MoRAC UM received Nepalese Ambassador

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Tin Oo Lwin, received Mr. Harishchandra Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar, based in Yangon on June 26, at the Union Minister's reception room, Office No. 35, Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they held an open exchange of views on potential avenues for bilateral cooperation. Discussions focused on the Nepalese government's desire to donate for the renovation of ancient pagodas, stupas, and temples in Myanmar that were damaged by the earthquake on March 28, 2025, as a symbol of Myanmar-Nepal friendship.

They also discussed broader cultural cooperation between the two nations. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mya Zan, Permanent Secretary U Myint Oo, Directors-General, and the relevant departmental officials.
