Receiving guidance: MoEA Union Minister gave necessary guidance

Under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2020, Ethnic Cultural Delegation will be sent to Thailand for the second cultural exchange program of ethnic people from 18th to 24th January.

On Thursday, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint met with the delegation members, and said that the foreign visits have been arranged to have friendly relations with the neighboring countries, to exchange traditional culture and customs among the ethnic people of Mekong-Lancang countries, to study the policies and rights for ethnic affairs and share it, to emerge a communication network among the ethnic people in Mekong region and to promote mutual understanding among the Mekong region countries.

A 27-member delegation led by the Deputy Minister was sent to Laos in the first exchange program. This is the second arrangement to send Thailand. The Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung also urged to make systematic document on the trip, while studying the tangible and intangible culture of Thailand.

The Union Minister later met with the staff officers who have attended the Basic Officer Training Course and Post-Graduate Diploma on Public Service Personnel Management Training Course No (10) and gave necessary guidance. The deputy minister also gave necessary suggestions to fulfill skills and capacity for the staff officers and urged to carry out the self-capacity building. After introducing by the newly appointed staff officers individually and the ceremony was concluded, it’s leant.
