Receiving guidance: Council of ITBMU received guidance

The occasion of receiving guidance from the Ovadacariya Sayadawgyis by the Council of International Theravada Buddhism Missionary University under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture was held at the Bhavana Mahasabha Meditation Hall in the afternoon on January 9.

Present at the occasion were the Chairman Sayadaw of the International Theravada Buddhism Missionary University, University Chancellor, Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Vice Chancellor, secretary Sayadaw of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee and member Sayadaws, Chairman of the Council of International Theravada Buddhism Missionary University, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko and members of council and official and they observed five precepts administered by the Chairman Sayadaw.

Next, the Union Minister supplicated the religious matters, activities carrying out by the university and the matters of the university.Then, the Chairman Sayadaw, secretary Sayadaw and the member Sayadaws of the boardOf Ovadacariya gave the necessary advices and suggestions.Afterward, the member Sayadaws of the board Of Ovadacariya for the University were offered the cash and offertories, took the sermon given by the Vice Chancellor of the University, secretary of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee and shared the merits gained, it’s learnt.
