Receiving diplomat: SAC member DPM received ambassador of India

Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister of the Office of the State Prime Minister, Admiral Tin Aung San, received Mr. Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of India to Myanmar, at the State Administration Council Office on 7th March.

During the meeting, they exchanged views and discussed matters related to the damage caused by the powerful earthquake that struck on March 28, 2025, centered about 20 kilometers northeast of Mandalay.

They also discussed the ongoing search and rescue assistance provided by foreign countries and international organizations, the humanitarian aid offered by the Government of India for the affected people, and the technical and other necessary support needed for the rehabilitation period.
