Receiving delegation: MSWRR UM received IOM delegation

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win met with a delegation led by Mr. Daihei Mochizuki, the Chief of Mission for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Myanmar, at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 8th October.

During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement and the IOM in areas such as capacity-building initiatives related to disaster management and reducing the risks of potential losses from disasters.

They also discussed cooperation in reintegrating victims of human trafficking back into their communities, providing humanitarian assistance to flood-affected populations, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ministry and IOM, and matters related to entry permits for IOM staff.
