

Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo met with Ambassador of China to Myanmar Ms. Ma Jia, and delegation members at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
During the meeting, Ambassador Ms. Ma Jia expressed the desire of the People's Republic of China government to enhance legal cooperation between Myanmar and China in addressing cross-border crimes related to online fraud, online gambling, and drug-related issues.
She also inquired about the constitutional provisions related to the holding of general elections. The Union Minister Union Attorney General provided clarifications and responses to the matters. Additionally, the Chinese Ambassador invited the Union Minister and Union Attorney General to visit the Southwest University of Political Science and Law in the People's Republic of China as a honorary professor to conduct training sessions.
She also expressed her willingness to provide necessary assistance for the training programs and legal diploma courses offered by the Legal Awareness School (LAC). The Union Minister and Union Attorney General expressed the gratitude for the offer of assistance and exchanged views on strengthening friendly relations and legal cooperation between Myanmar and China.
