Receiving Ambassador of PRC: MOFA UM received Ambassador of PRC

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, U Than Swe, received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, Ms. Ma Jia, at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 5 January 2026.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk Phaw relations and expansion of cooperation between Myanmar and China, continued implementation of Myanmar-China bilateral projects, the continued constructive support of China on the efforts of Myanmar to achieve lasting peace and socio-economic development for its people, and to continue cooperation in combatting online scamming and other illegal activities in border areas. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual support in regional and multilateral levels.
