Rare corsac fox couple spotted foraging on grassland

A pair of rare corsac foxes was spotted searching for food on a grassland in Ergun, Hulun buir City of north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 

Corsac foxes rarely move in pairs, and it was listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature in 2008. The animal generally measures 50 to 60 centimeters in the body length and weighs about 2 to 3 kilograms, making it the smallest fox species in China. It mainly inhabits grasslands, deserts and semi-deserts, feeding mainly on rodents.
