Rakhine State Day: SAC Member attends 49th Anniversary Ceremony

Member of the State Administration Council Dr. Ba Shwe on Friday attended the 49th Anniversary of the Rakhine State Day Ceremony in Sittwe of Rakhine State.

This ceremony began with traditional performances and reading out the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General ThadoeMahaThraySithuThadoeThiriThudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.

And, the SAC Member and officials presented 48 Excellent State Planning awards (First Class/Second Class/Third Class), 11 Excellent State Agricultural awards (First Class/Second Class/Third Class), 27 Excellent State Social awards (First Class/Second Class/Third Class) and 164 certificates of honour.

The ceremony continued with staging Rakhine traditional performances. There, the SAC Member and officials also viewed commemorative booths before having lunch together with award winners. On the same day, the SAC Member held a meeting with members of the Rakhine State Government and state-level officials.

In the meeting, the SAC Member highlighted guidance by Chairman of the State Administration Council, 5-point road map, 9 objectives and efforts for stability, law enforcement and development of the country. He also called for cooperation for stability, law enforcement and agricultural and livestock development in Rakhine State.

The SAC Member also heard reports on stability and regional development works as well as transport and education sectors and gave necessary instructions. Later the day, the SAC Member visited AdateHtan Monastery and offered offertories to the Presiding Sayadaw.
