Rakhine State Day: SAC Chairman sends a message of felicitations

Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a message on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee of Rakhine State Day on December 15.

In his message, the Prime Minister extended best wishes for all Rakhine people and the national brethren, wishing them peace of mind and prosperity. He highlighted the long history of the Rakhine people along with their diverse cultural heritage and artworks. Situated in the western coastal area and bordering neighboring countries, Rakhine State is one of the most important states in the country. The state is also endowed with beautiful natural landscapes and abundant resources of land and water.

He added that the government has allocated a budget of 10 billion kyat from the State Economic Promotion Fund for development projects in Rakhine State, with implementation carried out by the concerned individuals and organizations. He pledged to continue supporting the renovation of infrastructure damaged by Cyclone Mocha.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of prioritizing the interests of the nation and its people, urging against actions that hinder development. He stated that the country’s peace process can only be achieved through political dialogue based on union spirit among all national brethren, without foreign interference. He called for the cooperation of all Rakhine people to ensure the security of the state, promote peace and stability, and achieve a multi-party democracy system.
