To Raise Funds: “A Bright Future For Every Child”

Preparations are underway to organize “2019 ICCG Charity Gala Dinner & Fashion Show” to raise funds for the School for Disabled Children in Hlaingthaya Township, Zabu Oak Shaung Nunnery School in Thanlyin Township and Muslim Women Center in Mingala Taungnyunt Township.

A non-profit organization the International Cultural and Charity Group will organize the show – the group has been providing assistance for education and health sectors as well as for the welfare of the disabled and orphans.  They also held International fashion show to raise funds for the Yangon School for the Blind in Insein Township last year.

Vice President, International Cultural and Charity Group, Pauline Khin Maung Lwin said “This is our annual charity show. This year, a show will showcase international Culture & Magnificent Myanmar Tapestry by an expert from Mandalay and the members from Myanmar Fashion Designer Association. The valuable gifts from donors will be on sale with silent auction to the audience.”

The group was formed 50 years ago, and the members are ambassadors’ spouses and high-ranking ladies.

President, International Cultural and Charity Group, Coralie Schmidt said “A logo for this year is “A bright future for Every Child” that means we are going to help children with different faces. We are going to help children from Christian Face, from Muslim Face and from Buddhism philosophy. Then we are going to also help normal children and children who have disability like children with are blind or deaf, with have dome syndrome and other problems with the body.”

Donor, Mya Kay thee said “I would like to support the children with disabilities - they are also a bright star for the future that’s why I donated 10 million Kyats to the Charity Group. I will always support as must as I can.”

The show on the 1st of February at Melia Hotel in Yangon will start from 6pm – ticket price is 100,000 kyats.
