Quito community cleans up park on Earth Day

In honor of International World Earth Day, environmental activists and public in general held a mass community-driven clean-up effort Saturday at the Guanguiltagua metropolitan park in Quito.

The initiative aimed to encourage residents and visitors to improve their local environment and raise awareness about sustainability.Communities all over the world organize different activities during International Earth Day to reach a common awareness of pollution, biodiversity conservation and other environmental problems.
