The UK's Queen Elizabeth II met with Canadian troops on Wednesday.

The troops were guarding her Windsor Castle home and she spoke with the on-duty soldiers of the 1st Reginment of the Royal Canadian House Artillery at the royal residence.

The monarch also presented the Captain General's Sword to the servicemen. Her meeting with the troops was part of commemorations for the 150th anniversary of the founding of regular elements of the post-Confederation Canadian Army.
