Quality Testing for Crops and Edible Oil: MOC Union Minister inspects CTQM Center

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo visited Commodity Testing and Quality Management (CTQM) Center in Hlegu Township of Yangon Region on Saturday. He inspected the quality testing process for crops and edible oil and the lab equipment.

In meeting with the staff, the Union Minister gave instructions on promoting the capacity of each and individual staff and upgrading the quality testing performance for boosting exports of crops.

The Union Minister later met with the executive members of Myanmar Avocado Producer and Exporter Association and instructed to cultivate and produce quality local species, to increase the export market and to provide assistance to meet the demand of the buyer countries.

The Union Minister also met with the officials of Myanmar Rice Federation and discussed for development of rice sector, price stability of domestic market, boosting export without affecting the domestic market and cooperation with CTQM Center.

The Union Minister then inspected the preparation measures for opening of Rice Milling Course and gave instructions.
