Quality Education: Assessment to gain ASEAN Recognition University

Efforts are being made for the University of Veterinary Science to become an ASEAN recognition university. On July 25th, a Workshop was held for quality assessment at the university.

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi emphasized the crucial role of education in development of a nation. He added that the University of Veterinary Science is turning out the qualified human resources in the agriculture and livestock sector, the backbone of the country’s economy for food sufficiency, nutrition and socio-economic development of farmers.

Only when the university has qualified norms and standards, it will gain trust and recognition by the international community. He urged all to make their all-out efforts in shaping the qualified education system, striving to promote the status of the university. The meeting discussed the 11 norms recognized by ASEAN along with four development phases.
